COURSE OVERVIEW

This course encompasses a comprehensive array of taxes such as value-added tax, personal and commercial income tax, excises, property tax, trade taxes and taxes on natural resources. The usage of macroeconomic models, micro-simulation models and typical taxpayer models are also included in this program.

The course also focuses on the technical and official aspects of revenue forecasting and tax policy analysis, where it delivers an outline of the quantitative approaches that are required to forecast and assess the revenue implications of variations in major taxes like personal income taxes, commercial income taxes, value-added taxes, and international trade taxes.
