COURSE OVERVIEW

Developing countries spend millions of dollars on imported goods and services. A large portion of these goods and services are intended for use on development programmes and projects funded by donor agencies and International Finance Institutions (IFIs) such as the World Bank. The World Bank is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world and provides low-interest loans, zero to low-interest credits, and grants to developing countries.

This training course explores the key provisions of the World Bank Procurement Regulations and Documents for the procurement of goods and works. This unique training course also includes group work to enable participants to apply the knowledge they have acquired to the preparation of a procurement plan.
